This is definitely a cheaper smoker that will last through your beginner stage, but if you are a frequent, skilled smoker it is best to move on from this product.

Unlike many smokers, this smoker is made in China, and they used very thin steel. Overall, if you have it inside it will be durable. If you want to store the smoker outside, you may want to look elsewhere.

The Dyna-Glo Grill is very nice looking with its dual door design. You will find the first time you use the grill it will leak smoke and you will find it’s hard to maintain 250 degrees heat. The fix to that is to buy a gasket and glue that goes on a wood burning stove. Put it on both doors and then you will get more consistent heat.
-Can the smoker be transported?
No, the smoker weighs over 70 pounds, so it is not suggested to move it frequently.

This smoker has the room and racks to smoke just about any kind of meat.

The grill has thin steel walls and keeping rust off is very important. We don’t believe in sugar coating a product just to get you to buy it. There were many reviews that were unhappy with this smoker grill product. The thermometer on the front of the smoker is not a good one. It needs to be replaced before you fire the grill up.

The vertical smoker can smoke a lot of food at one time. If you put food close to the firebox you would need to rotate the food to keep from drying out the food on the bottom next to the firebox. You can use wood chips in this grill which will really add flavor. To be happy with this Dyna-Glo smoker you need to buy a charcoal chimney, so you can get the charcoal red hot before putting them in the grill. Also during the cooking process it’s good to keep charcoal and wood chips ready to use. To cook brisket or other large meat you can’t use all the racks. The smoker weighs over 70 pounds and is over 4 feet tall.

The first time I used the smoker I had to add keep adding more wood, The charcoal would only burn around 200-225 degrees The fire box has a around a 1/8 to 1/4 in gap in the top area. I had to seal that area. The paint came off the smoker box on the top and two side after the first use. One good thing to say is the food I have smoked 2 Pork butts, 6 racks of pork spare ribs all had a really good smoke ring and taste. Have smoked salmon also. Not a bad cheaper smoker but you may have to seal and repaint it with in a few uses. The unit does hold a lot of food. You may have to move the food around from bottom to top shelves to have equal cooking time.
